ABOUT GEN R&C®
GEN is an independent streetwear and lifestyle store based in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. It started with a simple idea: to create the kind of store we wanted to find in our own city.
Our selection brings together established brands, emerging labels and pieces that catch our eye. We choose clothing for its design, character and how it feels to wear, not just the name on the label. Different influences sit alongside each other, leaving room for you to make them your own.
Founder Barry studied fashion photography in London and worked at Shopi Go, one of Istanbul’s leading fashion stores. His experience in photography and fashion retail shapes GEN’s selection, its imagery and the way the store is being built.
A SPACE TAKING SHAPE.
GEN is still growing, and the store grows with us. Photography, styling and conversations with the people who walk through our door are already part of its everyday life.
We want to give that exchange more room: through collaborations with local creatives, independent projects and new ideas for the space. We’re building it step by step, with a clear point of view and an openness to what comes next.
